🤔 Accountant here. I thought that as well but then there is issues like say... accounts payable where other businesses submit invoices that need to be approved for payment, inputted and properly categorized/coded based on what they are, what they are used for, and or their useful life based on current tax code... before then needing to have the payment submitted on that other companies (all different) online payment portal, mailing a physical check, or setting a check aside for pick up.... It all seems easy but if every invoice is different and needs verification that the work or material is for a specific project, if it arrived undamaged or at all, is invoiced with a note that its something it could be used for but was used differently.... idk I don't think its their yet.

AI is not reliable enough to do this within 3 years. I am also in system automation. There are way too many errors - human touch is needed, and jobs will open for those willing to adapt with AI. We are moving to creating tasks AI agents to automate manual tasks, but AI has years before taking over Business/Tech analytics.

disagree, only admin tasks will get automated, those tasks that dont require intellect and are predictable and structure, those that are not so linear tasks still needs human, AI will still penetrate but with human overseeing or working along with.

Sorry buddy, I usually agree with you but not this time. Im in state government financials...We've been using AI in Financials for over 8y, my whole state is set to be done by 2028. we already went through this scenario during covid, we are now having to rehire staff, because it still takes physical bodies to manage a new AI system daily, its literlly a 3rd party middle man for excel that is making tons of errors...its only as good as its coder and not every IT person knows Financials, it takes a team...we learned this already.

All new technology tends to over promise and underdeliver; it happened with the cloud and will happen to A.I.. Will there be some impact? Yes, but the technology is not intelligent enough yet and full of illusions, businesses need accurate data in real time.
