@kadee.motley: No i’m not TTC, but I am tracking. I am tracking my periods and ovulation because I unfortunately have anovulatory cycles. I am not TRYING for a baby, but when I am BDing and nothing is happening, it hurts. It hurts not getting pregnant on accident when people do it all the time. #infertility #fertility #womenshealth

Have you tested your thyroid? Mounjaro regulated my cycle. Not sure if that’s an option. It’s not even for weight loss just for blood surgar regulation

i think you should use ovulation test strips to make sure you’re actually ovulating

Hey Kadee seeing a fertility specialist is very pricey it is worth it but there is testing you can do at your local obgyn such as ovarian ultrasounds and labs you can do to help figure some of what could be going on. But a specialist will definitely help but just giving other options you can vary through until then that’s gonna be a whole lot cheaper depending on your insurance. 🩵 it did take me 3 years of trying and still didn’t come just by accident I had help from medication. but still just as beautiful. And my baby’s perfectly healthy in my belly. I went through so many obs and doctors. I’m praying for you and your journey and that you get the answers you need and they can help you to conceive if that’s what you want.

I would recommend tracking ovulation with LH strips, and BBT to confirm ovulation. If you haven’t tried this already. You can get a positive LH strip and still not ovulate. BBT can confirm ovulation.

You can definitely get some help from your OBGYN before having to go to a fertility clinic. They’re so expensive and I would never suggest spending that much on a journey that you’re not fully ready to jump into. They tend to not really focus on your health and why you’re not getting pregnant but more on getting you pregnant.

I was with my abusive ex for almost 7 years. We tried and tried and tried so many times and I couldn’t get pregnant not even once. 2 months into my current relationship, I found out I was pregnant for the first time ever in my life and now we’re engaged and I’m having my son either this weekend or next weekend. God’s timing is always right and I promise you when you least expect it you will get pregnant. Hang in there the best you can love, I know how much it hurts to want a baby and not be able to have one.

I know how you feel, I'm in the same boat, day 33 and still no period. I'm on GLP-1 to see if it helps regulate my cycles and if I can finally ovulate on my own, but everything seems so far away. May our journey be filled with victories.

Did you discuss this with your regular OBGYN? After turning 22 (I’m 30 now) my cycle was long, unpredictable, would skip months here and there. My boyfriend (now husband) and I have been together since 2012 and never been on birth control and we never had a pregnancy “scare”. We started to try for a baby in May 2024 and by Jan 2025 I was diagnosed with PCOS. I had no other symptoms other than an irregular period. I was able to confirm PCOS diagnosis with an ultrasound. Fast forward to July 2025 I had my first appt with a fertility specialist and with diff. Meds and tests I was finally able to get pregnant in November! Sadly it turned into a chemical pregnancy but that fact I was able to get pregnant was huge and I have such high hopes that I will be pregnant very soon. Don’t feel discouraged.. you are young, you are not a lot, and I know it will make you feel better once you get those answers from a gynecologist and fertility specialist. The appts get expensive but I promise getting the answers I needed made me feel so much better!

Look into Seed cycling. It helps balancing hormones and make easier to get pregnant. Sending good vibes your way 💕

definitely go see one! They were the ones who treated my high "normal" thyroid levels and low Vitamin D which then helped me get pregnant! I thought I was going to need more intensive interventions but I just needed the right eyes on my case

YES!! Go for own mental peace. Sometimes our bodies just need a bit of help, which is hard to get when you don’t know what is causing the issues you are having x

Have any doctors check your thyroid lovely? My cycles were really long and it was due to my thyroid being a little high. I’m not on medication and it’s help massively.

in the UK, if you can't get pregnant after a year of trying you get referred to be tested then if you need it ivf. Does America not have a similar rule?

I had “PCOS” but I was wrongly diagnosed and actually had a thyroid problem😮‍💨 definitely go to your Ob and have them run basic women bloods. CM doesn’t confirm ovulation. Definitely get your self a ring that tracks your bbt!!

I'm rooting for you! I think it's great that you are so self aware and goal oriented. I have a ton of hope for you. In my 20's I had PCOS and irregular cycles and I was very afraid of never being a mother. Now I'm 37 with 3 kids and 1 on the way (I also had 3 miscarriages). One simple thing that helped my cycle was taking 2.5 mg of melatonin on cycle days 1-10. Also diet and sleep of course, but I'm sure you're privy to all that. I think it will be great to see a specialist and have someone walk with you through it. Don't despair! Don't give up! You're on the right track. 💖

I want to second the comment about Natalie Crawford. I learned so much from her podcasts. Self education is so important for our female health! One of the big takeaways from my learning is that not have a regular and predictable cycle or going months without one at all is a marker of female health! I went to a fertility specialist and was diagnosed with pcos. I had gone to my doc the year before and she didn’t think I had it. I had symptoms very similar to you. You have to advocate for yourself! Don’t give up ❤️

I tried allllll of the supplements, metformin etc. and the only thing that worked has been my GLP1! I did get pregnant accidentally and had a miscarriage but it gave me hope that it can happen again!

This is gonna be long . I’m 21 and I’ve had two losses so I understand your pain . I’ve had irregular cycles my whole life also been pregnant 3 times age doesn’t matter to me I just wanted to be a mom my son he’s 4 I had him at 16 before him I had a loss at 8 weeks and at 5 weeks when he was 1 years old. With him I took progesterone and the pregnancy was fine so have u ever gotten your progesterone checked ? I also have noticed with tracking my cycle naturally (last time I’ve been on birth control was in 2023) I’ve noticed I ovulate late earliest will be cycle day 18-21 and when I ovulate I hyper ovulate it hurts super bad worse than period cramps but when I’m stressed , not sleeping enough, or eating properly my ovulation is as late as a cycle should last . October cycle I didn’t ovulate until cycle day 28! There were lots of factors that month resulting in late ovulation even tho I try to keep health in mind for my ovulation and period . Even sometimes I notice I’ll try to ovulate my body will try to but just doesn’t . Definitely get thyroid checked and your hormones if those are good I really recommend less is better don’t take anything during your period I would even say don’t take anything til the week leading up to ovulation let your body try to gear up for ovulation by itself then you give it an extra push maybe with a certain supplement and very nutrition rich food around that time . Also the week leading up to your ovulation reduce your sugar big time don’t completely cut it out but your bodies inflammation will lower way down and it might allow your ovulation to flow easier . And let me tell you something I have an autoimmune disorder mctd and I’m so sensitive very emphatic I literally absorb energy so if your sensitive I’m telling you the slightest thing can mess your cycle up so nothing is wrong with you it’s easy for some and nothing affects some women’s cycle and some woman skip one day or birth control then get pregnant but others aren’t like that and that’s okay . You got this you’re gonna figure it out and understand your body I mean it is yours after all.
