This video doesn’t mention that the changes were made to the design unbeknownst to the architect, LeMessurier, and when he found out about the defects in the building he briefly contemplated unaliving himself. Ultimately, the whole retrofit might not have been necessary, because a reassessment with modern technology determined that the winds were not as big of a threat as they initially thought.
