The Israel Meteorological Service updated its “red warning” overnight for Storm Byron, stating that from early morning until 22:00, the central and southern coastal plain and the Shfela are expected to receive an exceptional 100 to 150 millimeters of rain. An “orange warning” for flooding was also issued for the same areas. In the northern Negev and the Judean Desert, rainfall will continue into the late evening and may cause floods and inundation.
