Me encantó!

“You must have clarity of vision.” — Julius Kipngetich , CEO of Jubilee Insurance Holdings PLC. This thought has stayed with me. What do you truly want to do with your time on this planet, and what impact do you want to leave behind? Without clarity, it is easy to become busy without being deliberate ; pursuing opportunities because they are available rather than because they are aligned with what matters. Knowing the brevity of our time should give us perspective. We may carry significant responsibility, but each of us is ultimately part of something much larger. Three questions are worth asking: What am I building towards? What am I giving my time to? Are the two aligned? The answers should shape more than our ambitions. They should shape our priorities: what we pursue, what we decline and where we choose to make a difference. Julius offered another thought that, for me, brings the conversation back to the heart of leadership: “People, respect people.” No meaningful vision is built alone. Leadership is exercised through people, through the teams we build, the relationships we nurture, the decisions we make and the opportunities we create for others. The scale of the vision does not diminish the importance of how we treat the people entrusted to our leadership. Vision gives leadership direction. Respect gives it humanity. Perhaps that is one of the deeper tests of leadership: not simply whether we achieve what we set out to achieve, but whether the people around us are stronger, better and more capable because they were part of the journey. That is the kind of thinking worth bringing to The Executive Table, the questions beneath the decisions and the thinking that shapes how we lead. The Executive Table Membership takes these conversations deeper through exclusive leadership content, practical insights and learning designed to help you think more deliberately and lead with greater intention.
