A lot of the recipe developers I see being praised on TikTok. I feel don’t explain some of the specific techniques they do in a way that’s easily digestible for a beginner audience and they tend to include unique ingredients that forces another trip to the grocery store for an item you’re not gonna use for another two years. The most consistently reliable recipe developer I’ve used is Sally’s baking addiction. I will say some of her recipes are on the sweeter side, but I just put less sugar than her recipes call for and it comes out perfect.

I like to do it with dark chocolate and then add semi sweet for the baking part. That way you have two levels of sweetness and I think that makes it balance out way better.
