Soooooooo a toxic work environment where issues pointed out were repeatedly ignored. These issues were safety related.. after about 13 events. And some repeated. CPTSD. 💯 🙈🙈🙈

I was diagnosed w PTSD (cPTSD) and am doing EMDR. My team completely understands my childhood growing up in an immigrant Asian home. It’s been extremely helpful for them to truly understand the cultural context

I do IFS therapy and it’s changed my life. Or at least how I’m able to navigate it without shutting down or getting “stuck” in cycles

So it’s probably really great that we’ve been going through collective trauma since 2020, right? 😃

EMDR made me lose entire parts of my memory for weeks. it is very dangerous to do if you are not ready or the therapist isnt experienced.

So let me understand this correctly we deserve therapy! I would like to know in my country of Canada, who is going to pay for this? Is it my responsibility or do I pay out of my pocket? When you have no adequate healthcare available to you, I’m confused. Is the doctor going to foot the bill?

no one understood the cultural context of my ptsd and my indigenous beliefs. I was institutionalized twice for it due to a misunderstanding and misdiagnosed as psychotic. scarred forever. this was avoidable. it really isnt that hard to have white academia not be the default.
