100% ! im a millennial (closer to gen X) and we grew up having a mix of friends ! it is normal for us to have opposite gender friends! 💜 ive felt safer in some of my male friendships, than ive felt in my female friendships! 🤷♀️

they can be friends if there's zero chance of a romantic interest whether thats through preference or circumstance. the moment one or both have any other motives, it becomes transactional or a romance, and at that point it's something else. of course guys and girls can be friends
