@stonedaffection: when death's-head hawkmoths (and some other moth species) get older, they get little bald spots on the top of their heads. 🥹 this is from friction and rubbing against things whilst flying, which removes their fur-like scales. it doesn't hurt them, it's just an adorable little feature to spot. 🖤✨ #cuteanimals #insects #entomology #bugtok #naturelover
