I know what I feel but what I question is am I a cry baby? Do I have very low pain tolerance? All this self questioning due to a lack of effective diagnosis tool is maddening for endometriosis patients. Science needs to science faster

I'm in Iowa, we have zero excision surgeons in my state. my insurance doesn't cover care outside of my state. I need to find a surgeon who works with patients with no insurance coverage.

I had a hysterectomy at Duke Hospital with an ‘’endometriosis specialist’’ who told me I had no endometriosis. 6 months later I flew to NYC to the New York Endometriosis Center and had severe stage 3 endo & adhesions.

@Paige:I hate it. yet they said I had lesions. stop studying how the partner is. we need better surgeons in this field. cause now I have an ovary sealed to the back of my uterus. worse symptoms since my first surgery.more lesions. waking up in puddles of blood from periods. so irregular. chocolate cysts. dismissed

I am so grateful for my first (of three) fertility doctors who didn’t question me when I asked for a Lapraoscopy to see if I had Endo even though my only symptom was infertility. Turns out I had stage 3!

We need all consultants and surgeons trained to same level and to be on same page then of what endometriosis is and what they are looking for and should be a mdt approach

We dont have an endometriosis specialist here in the highlands of Scotland, all the local endo group had to go private to be diagnosed, the nhs here cannot find endometriosis, we are often misdiagnosed, or if lucky they do find adenomyosis but the overall care here is so bad for gynae problems

I was told my surgery would be at least 4 hours with 6 incisions but instead I was woke up half an hour later saying they didn’t find anything and I can’t get another surgery on the nhs so will now probably take me 5 years to save for a private surgery
