@.thedailyroom: Australia has become the first country to ban social media access for children under 16. ___________________________________ Starting at midnight on Tuesday, 10 major platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, were ordered to block users under 16 or face fines of up to $49.5 million AUD ($33 million USD). Regulators around the world are watching the rollout closely, reuters reported. ___________________________________ Many of the roughly 1 million children affected posted farewell messages online, while others said they planned to find ways around the ban.
