Expressing masculinity by cosplaying black male fetishization and honestly the opposite is also true. For awhile expressing femininity in trans women circles seemed to revolve around the worst of black female stereotypes. I’m glad we have evolved

I find it odd that whoever dips into black culture, it always stops when they’re no older than 25. It’s usually just the pop culture elements and then it’s always abandoned mid 20s at the latest. Like it’s a youth only phase.

I saw a post today that honestly was funny. It was this girl doing a skit about how she’d be upset if her son was “hererocurious.” But there was this comment that said “when my son starts listening to rap instead of show tunes” and it REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. Gay ppl don’t listen to rap??? Black people don’t listen to show tunes? What are we talking about?????
