I had one of those fancy roombas that self empties because I have a dog and a cat. I have carpet in my apartment and it didn’t a good job picking up the dirt. But we had to replace parts on it twice within 2 years of having it. And the bags were SO expensive. We don’t even use it anymore 😭

i have a golden retriever and a shark robot vac that auto empties into the docking station. it’s a life saver. i run it every night. it’s not a perfect solution and i still do a good deep clean of my floors weekly but it helps me so much

i only have 1 cat, but she's a messy girl that sheds a decent amount & loves to kick her litter everywhere. even after the robot vac had just finished a clean cycle, i still had to do tons of spot cleaning w/ my regular handheld vac. for me, they seem gimmicky, unless u're willing to spend half a grand, then maybe that robot vac would serve u better. the one I got was around $100 on sale from black Friday (don't remember brand) & I hardly used it

I can vouch for the Robot Vacuum (Eureka brand, that also mops the floor). It selfs vacuum and you DONT NEED TO BUY BAGS! It goes straight to the trash like a Dysons Vacuum. Highly recommend!

I have the roomba plus 405 and it’s a life saver around the apartment! It both mops and vacuums. I have a dog and it really helps to keep the place clean.

Never used a robot vacuum and I don’t think it can get under things that are so low to the ground maybe? I just suck it up and vacuum. Oh the price we pay for our fur babies!

i LOVE my robot vacuum and have replaced it three times now (long story). i dont 100% think you need a name brand (shark,etc) but self empty is huge plus! ones that mop don’t super do anything (i haven’t tried the really crazy nice ones but the regular priced). intelligence is also great bc then it’ll hold a map/you block off areas. i wouldn’t let it run while you’re gone if you have pets out at the same time (potty accidents are disastrous). otherwise, WORTH IT

the robot vacuums are really good for a daily clean and helping keep things manageable but you’ll still have to vacuum like once a week if you actually want things clean because they arent great around furniture

I only have one dog but I have a simple robot vac not one of those fancy ones and it’s honestly been life changing you can program the app to clean when you’re not home. running it every single day or every other day is great, it’s not amazing at like one time pick up of a lot of dirt but if you run it consistently you don’t really need to vacuum or at least I don’t. I have all wooden and tile floor so maybe it’s different for other people. I just have to mop once a week. maybe every once in a while I’ll have to get out my old vacuum and hit the corners other than that it gets every single area
