im pretty sure if you take out the fake eggs they will lay more. when I raised parots to get them to stop laying eggs we would put fake eggs in the nest. not sure if chickens are the same thou.

As one that lives on 12 acres there’s times that a couple of my chickens didn’t make it to the coop and I worried too, but within a day or two they were back they climb up in trees and hide! So hopefully the same case for you

I always soak whole oats I get from the feed store for my chickens in the winter. They love it and I usually have eggs all year

Ok so the chili flakes don’t make them lay more, but def feed them high protein!! Ours also slow down when it gets super cold again or there’s gloomy days!!
