My mom is same. I unpair all my colorful socks and take them to her facility and beg her to help me pair them. She is so proud to help. I do it almost every day. She has no idea.

I hate this disease. My mom was nearing the stage of not knowing me when she suddenly passed. People say it was a blessing in disguise. I miss her 🥰

I hate Alzheimer’s disease so much. It hurts to see a person you love so much decline in that way especially when they were such a strong independent person their entire lives. I lost my grandfather to Alzheimer’s in 2018 and I can’t even explain how much I miss him every day. Your dad talking about his car reminded me of him so much. It was hard for my popaw to accept he didn’t have keys or a car anymore. He was a truck driver his entire life. I’m so glad your dad has someone like you to take care of him. You can tell you really love and care for him and it seems like he really finds comfort in you. Prayers for you guys❤️❤️

How long ago was he diagnosed? My Dad was recently diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s. I love how compassionate and supportive you are ❤️

Such a sad thing to watch loved ones go through this. In the early stages they kind of know but as it progresses they have no idea what is wrong and even less awareness that anything is wrong in the later stages. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!
