@tcmbycheehee: Herbal Teas Episode 1: Mulberry Tea 🫖 Mulberry, also known as Sang Shen in Chinese, is a cool and nourishing fruit that helps support our kidney and liver yin. This helps support our eyesight, hearing, and brain health, all powered by the kidney and liver yin. Do not overconsume because it has natural sugar content, and may be burdening for those with weak digestion. #tcm #herbaltea #chinesemedicine #herbs #tcmbycheehee
Hello, for those who do not have access to mulberries, you can replace them with hibiscus tea (bissap, foléré, zobo, etc.) or baobab fruit juice (bouye).

It’s recommended to use warm water instead of hot water so you don’t kill the anthocyanin (花青素)。

My grandpa had a tree in his backyard when I was a kid, and when they were ripe, I’d stand on a ladder and eat all the ones I could reach 😭 I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in local grocery stores

The way that Americans (myself included) are learning that Chinese based/herbal medicine is not the “alternative” medication we’ve been made to believe it is, is outstanding. Learning to identify what organs are the source of what ailments being experienced is rewarding.
