Part 13 | Steal my 2 week South Africa honeymoon itinerary 🤩 The best 2 weeks of our lives and I couldn’t recommend this itinerary enough. I booked everything myself and saved a lot of money vs using a travel agent so recommend that if you have time/ headspace to do it yourself! DETAILS 👇🏼 ✈️ Fly into Cape Town. We flew direct from London with Virgin Atlantic. ☑️ Hire a rental car through Vineyard Car Hire. They will drop it to your hotel for free if you don’t want to collect it straight away after a long flight. ✨ Cape Town, 5 Days 🏨 Dorp Hotel & Villa Lion View. We split our time between both hotels but you can also just stay in one place if you prefer. 🚗 Drive 2.5 hours ▶️ ✨ Gansbaai, 2 Days 🏨 Romansbaai Collection. Highly recommend these gorgeous private villas on the beach. 🚗 Drive 2 hours ▶️ ✨Montagu, 2 Days 🏨 Jonkmanshof. The most amazing hotel! A cute, small country town but one of our favourite stops on our trip because of the amazing hotel! 🚗 Drive 2 hours ▶️ ✨Franschhoek, 3 Days 🏨 La Cotte Manor House. Beautiful adults only hotel. Feels very remote but only 10 minutes walk into town. 🚗 Drive 1 hour to Cape Town Airport ▶️ Drop off your rental car at the airport. ✈️ Fly 2 hours to Joburg ▶️ Depending on what time your flight gets in you may want to stay a night at an airport hotel. We stayed at the Radisson OR Tambo and it was good for what we needed. ☑️Hire a rental car. We didn’t love the company we used so I won’t mention their name, but there are a lot of providers at the airport. You could also hire a driver to take you to the lodge if you prefer. 🚗 Drive 3 hours ▶️ ✨Safari, 4 Days 🏨 Ndlovu Safari Lodge. The BEST 4 days we could have possibly wished for! The highlight of our honeymoon and can’t recommend this place enough. Every room has a private pool and all it’s all inclusive, including 2 safari game drives a day. 🚗 Drive 3 hours ▶️ Drop off your rental car at the airport. ✈️ Fly home from Joburg. We flew direct overnight with Virgin Atlantic back to London.
