I also work in memory care. It’s eye-opening. More than anything, I’ve lost my general need for “why’s” & reasoning. Alzheimers is in my family, too. My mom makes effort to do puzzles & take certain supplements “to keep her mind sharp”. In my care, I have people as sharp as highly-awarded of veteran AF pilots, an actual astrophysicist, chemical engineers, inventors— a woman with 64 patents, business-owners. Close families, hobbies, healthy lifestyles.. It’s a reminder that life isn’t fair, it’s just not. & make the most of each day.. & surely a plethora of things that one learns with such exposure to this. Anyway, much love & wishing you guys blessings & joy

The caption was perfectly said, it’s so fascinating, knowing that they all have the same thing, but are affected differently. I’ve been working on a memory care unit for the last 2 years in life enrichment. I wouldn’t change it for any job, I want to work my way up!

My dad was the same way. He was diagnosed with atypical Alzheimer’s (confirmed on CT scan and he chose to donate his brain) which made a lot of sense. He knew us all until the end ❤️brings me to tears swiping through your page, your family has so much love 🥰 sending a virtual hug to you all!

this is what PMO... I had watched someone else's video and there was a comment that put it into words better than I can, they basically said you can see the moment when a thought or memory hits them (like right here in this video), but before they can get it out, it's ripped away. He was just about to say something. and then it was lost. 😤😤😤 a cruel disease.
