@chandlerroth55: Is how someone dresses at work ever a legitimate excuse for sexual harassment? Even if one dressed provocatively at work (my client didn’t) does that somehow excuse sexual harassment or make it okay? Please share your thoughts #lawyer
No. As much as I think people should dress appropriately for work I do not ever think what you wear gives anyone the right to harass people.

Nothing anyone wears should mean respecting them less. People are respected because innate worth. What we wear takes the focus off the individual and onto our job especially when working in community

No, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t constantly being pushed as a narrative against women. But I NEVER hear this narrative when a guy is wearing really tight pants.

No! It should NEVER be considered but if it is a jury then there is always a chance of having a man or two that would think it does.

Hello Chandler Law, I recently sent a message. If you didn’t get it, could you send one back? I have an inquiry.

You need to have some sort of defense against it but it doesn't need to be as in depth as the rest of your case

Assuming some facts here, but a lot of jurors may question why she continued to wear provocative clothing to work after the first few instances when the attire drew unwanted attention

In a workplace, if her clothing was inappropriate for the work setting, this should have been addressed by HR. If it was not, then her attire was fine.
Regardless for him, it doesn't matter what someone is wearing. Sexual harassment is sexual harassment.

Yes, there is a certain level professionalism. You are supposed to wear to work. But not doing so shouldn’t mean sexual harassment. It means HR tells you to wear more appropriate clothing.

No. Period. If anyone dressed inappropriately that is what HR and disciplinary action is appropriate. Sexual harassment is never an acceptable answer. She could walk in with pasties and I’d still say no.

Lesbians don’t seem to struggle like men do with this. I don’t think what you’re wearing is a valid excuse.

It's not an invitation, but you're leaving the door open. I'd want to see photos. I mean if I work next to somebody all day while they are wearing a full clown costume, wig n all. if they handed me something I might say that, that's a nice Jester....

Being a baby boomer and have lived through the peak of sexual harassment back in the day. I do feel that we as women should dress appropriately at work. Men are men and no matter how many laws have changed in the workplace, you can’t dress like a stripper and not expect to get negative attention from both men and women. Self respect should be more important than seeking attention.
