@california.uncovered: The California beach made of glass #california #cali

Miss Alicia :

In the 80’s its was absolutely stunning to see and by the early 2000’s its was picked bone dry

Sqweek :

It’s rare to find glass there now, they have to dump glass in to keep it ip

Lazy_Bear :

My family used to camp in fort bragg every summer in the 90’s when i was a kid, Glass Beach was literally solid sea glass and awesome, now its just a beach

Danjoscollectibles :

love that town

encinasana7 :

It’s gone just tiny tiny pieces left

Elizabeth :

Glass and shells @ Glass Beach

mike2899 :

I went to an out door education and we visited this beach and same with all my siblings. when we were there they told us all we could take a sandwich baggie full of this glass. I know thousands of kids that all probably some where have this same sandwich baggie or have moved it different landfills. crazy to think a sandwich bag moved all that glass.

lunchboxjoness :

Not illegal by the way

pollypocketmom71 :

Not anymore. You're hard pressed to find glass now. People took it all. It used to be covered in the 70s and yes it was a dump

Poppy Laine :

I found this out and it was disappointing that they would dump trash into the beautiful ocean. I am glad all the glass has been picked away!!

MRC :

Oh my gosh, that means that they’re gonna start stealing sand to build out there water parks in the backyard and then they’ll have that whole place that was used as a dump the wrong way will disappear. That will be terrible.😳😳😳😳
