How did I know it was time to leave the career I had spent 18 years working towards? I was soul-level tired 😞 - This “tiredness” goes beyond physical exhaustion. It seeps into your bones, feels heavy behind your eyes, and leaves you empty inside. No amount of sleep or days off work seems to even touch the edge. It’s accompanied by a sense of dread the moment you wake in the morning. And leaves you anxiously awake at night, staring at the walls. Even harder than that though, is admitting to yourself, that all those years of study and hard work… might have been a waste. Or maybe it’s worrying about letting your parents down. Or your Grandma down (who had always wanted to be a Doctor herself). For me however, the moment came where I realised that I couldn’t keep living for other people. Nor could I keep pretending that I hadn’t outgrown the old version of me. And so I left Medicine, to chase my dreams of being a full-time content creator and entrepreneur. And the rest is history…  I am the happiest, lightest, and most free I have ever been ✨ I’ve developed the most beautiful relationships (platonic and romantic) because I myself feel whole again 🩷 I’ve been able to give my family the presence they deserve 🤍 And I’m excited about what the future holds for me 🥹 If you relate to this.
