y’all do NOT know how to notice intentional cinematography. the glitter/purple aesthetic in S1 was bc its from Rue’s pov. she’s (no pun intended) EUPHORIC. she’s romanticizing her addiction and seeing life in another way. in S2 the tones change because she’s in a heavier phase of her addiction/trying not to relapse. this season isnt as colorful cause Rue is no longer an addict, she sees life in a normal color
