Today I tasted these new Strawberry Cheerios Protein... this is one of two new Protein cereal flavors from Cheerios. Though this isn't Cheerios first protein cereal, in fact they first tried the concept out more than a decade ago when they released a similar product in 2014 called... wait for it, Cheerios Protein - but in 2018 a lawsuit alleged that Cheerios misrepresented the amounts of protein and as such, Cheerios was forced to pull it from store shelves. But now, 5 years later, they are back with a retooled version of the cereal, and two all new flavors. Now, I don't usually reach for protein cereals, but as an absolute Cheerios fanboy, I was extremely excited to see how these taste. Unfortunately, while I enjoyed the initial strawberry flavor and the xtra crunchy texture - there is a strong aftertaste from the Pea Protein that I am finding extremely off-putting, and it's really all I can taste. I think if you have a tolerance for Pea Protein, this might be up your alley, but if not I would say you probably want to avoid this one. Still have to try the Cinnamon flavor but for me this Strawberry Cheerios Protein was sadly a miss.
