I think most professors don’t know how to implement a flipped classroom properly. My genetics course was like this and the videos just gave you a more general idea before class, but the professor still gave a normal lecture and discussion.

it doesn’t help when u have multiple classes that have that same style. it make a 4 class semester into what feels like a 6-8 class semester just because the amount of lectures you have to watch/attend

Sad to hear about other’s negative experiences cause I had a professor who did a flipped classroom and our “lecture” was just everyone working on the homework and being able to ask the prof questions/get help. Which i loved cause it felt like i got to have office hours that didnt conflict with my schedule/force me to have to change my normal schedule

Professors really need to respect students’ time. We work jobs because we need money too. Plus get 20+ hours of work a week not counting class time
