@jonrussellmd: Common thyroid cancer symptoms- from someone who treats this disease all day, every day. #creatorsearchinsights #thyroidcancer #thyroid #thyroidnodules #hashimotos
I had thyroid cancer at 30. I had a nontoxic multinodular goiter for years that was initially benign. My levels except antibodies were fine. When I went back probably 5 years later I ended up needing 9 nodules biopsied, but many more that would have needed it but those were positive.

I had so may symptoms and was ignored until I had the neck mass on the side and it was metastatic that spread to lymph nodes.

The problem is MOST doctors don’t listen or care.

Is it possible for them to find a mass in your ovaries and fluid ? Along with placing a test in for Ovarian cancer?

My symptoms were: random voice changing when I would speak (hoarseness), weight gain, profusely sweating randomly, hair loss, whenever they would do my lab work they would ask me if I was sick when I did it every time, extreme fatigue.

I was 8 years old with no real symptoms. My aunt noticed my throat. I ended up with total thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy as well as some lymph removed. Metastasised when I was 12 to my lungs. RAI therapy twice a year for 9 years. That began in 1980. I’m 54 now.

I have 2 T4 nodules and my doctor doesn’t think it needs to be biopsied and wants to recheck in 2 years… I might get a second opinion

I had papillary thyroid carcinoma - they removed half. Now the other side of my neck is swollen and they think it may be recurring 😭😥 just call me the cancer sandwich. Cancer - Nursing School - Cancer 🤣 if I don’t laugh, I’ll cry.

I have had a lump above my Adam’s Apple slightly to the side for a few years now it’s firm but moveable and hasn’t grown and two doctors check both said it’s not too concerning one got me and ultra sound said it was not abnormal and a lymph node and saw no need to biopsy. About the size of a decent size bean or small grape but hasn’t changed in years

Just had partial thyroidectomy on 12/26 and today found out based on pathology, the surgeon is assuming the other 1/2 will have to come out and RAI. Plenty of symptoms but nothing ever shows in bloodwork. I’m 50. Meeting with endocrinologist. Mirena in me is expired. Been in Wgovy for last 1.5 yrs. Very very slow weight loss. Still 50 lbs to go. Tired, brain fog, ALOT of hair loss.

On and off lymph node swelling on the left side of my neck for a year. Causes a dull ache type of pain. I've had a neck US show the lymph node of "unknown significance". Neck CT clear. Thyroid US shows two 4mm nodules "statistically benign". I just have so much neck pain that radiates from my ear to my collar bone, exteme fatigue, hot flashes. I've seen two different doctors, endocrinology, ENt and Rheum. No answers 😭

I had a thyroidectomy 5 years ago, converting my hyperthyroidism to hypothyroidism. 2 years ago they did an ultrasound because I was feeling something in there and they told me it was an enlarged nodule.rn it’s hurting, everytime that I swallowed. What can it be? Doctors been gaslighting me, so I don’t know what to do :(

I had to have a total thyroidectomy, I had follicular neoplasms. The surgeon was only going to do half. But due to hashimotos the other side was pretty damaged. He took both so I didn’t have to come back and get the rest out later. Thankfully they were incased so the tumors were benign.

I had thyroid cancer in 2012. My symptoms were tiredness and weight loss. My levels always came back normal. Wasn’t until a year later that a lump popped out and then a biopsy was done.
