What is FVG? A Fair Value Gap (FVG) is a price imbalance on the chart where the market moves very fast and leaves an “empty zone” between candles. It usually happens when: Strong buying or selling pressure enters the market Price moves quickly without proper pullback How it looks (3-candle pattern) Candle 1 → moves Candle 2 → strong impulse Candle 3 → continues move Between Candle 1 and Candle 3, there is a gap (inefficiency zone). That gap is the FVG. --- Simple idea behind FVG trading Price tends to come back later to fill that imbalance before continuing the trend. So traders do: Wait for FVG to form Wait for price to return into the gap Enter trade in direction of trend --- How to trade FVG (basic strategy) 1. Identify trend first Uptrend → look for buy FVG Downtrend → look for sell FVG 2. Mark the FVG zone Bullish FVG = buy zone Bearish FVG = sell zone 3. Wait for price retracement Do NOT enter immediately. Wait for price to come back into the gap. 4. Entry Enter when price touches or partially fills the FVG: Buy: in bullish FVG Sell: in bearish FVG 5. Stop Loss (SL) Below FVG for buy Above FVG for sell 6.
