My '22 Tacoma ticked like that since they day I drove it off the dealer lot with 7 miles on the Odometer. Thats just what they sound like, Toyota's dual injection system is very loud.

People saying “Toyota tick”. That ain’t normal. Stop using the water weight 0w-20 oil and switch to 5W-30. Watch it quiet down. Super light weight oil is the premature death of any engine. It’s only for EPA standard. They don’t care about the engine lasting.

I didn’t realize 100k in 4 years was a lot. Hell I’ve put over 100k on my 21 Atlas so far and I’ve got 5 other cars to spread my miles out over.

That’s the high pressure fuel pump for the dual injection D4-s. It’s normal. There’s a TSB for it.
