The coolant in those vehicles just do that. I worked for dodge for a long time that coolant sucks.

I see this everyday this is a chemical reaction that occurs when you mix 2 different types of antifreeze. It happens alot more on GM vehicles that require Dexcool antifreeze and someone mixes the green in with it.

Coolants are also designed to reduce corrosion and keep coolant lines from dry rotting. Just like engine oil, it does “wear” out, mixing different coolants, using tap water, and leak stop products all add extra contamination and reduce non cooling performance,

I used to see the ford Taurus do this same thing back in the 90’s. I don’t think it’s a coolant issue a much as a poor quality of cast iron. Just my thoughts.

It will do that in the EGR cooler also. A shop mixed mine with stuff that was supposed to be compatible with mopar coolant and I had to change everything
