He hit his lights for a stop. The car pulled over by a parking garage entrance. He walked up and met the driver. She was 25-year-old Isabella Shenk. While talking, he spotted signs of impairment. Alcohol smell hit him too. She said she and her passenger left Reservoir Bar in Ybor City. She owned up to two beers before driving. He grew suspicious. He told her to step out for sobriety tests. First test: Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus. Second: Walk and Turn. She skipped heel-to-toe steps. No counting out loud. Wrong turn too. Third: One Leg Stand. She failed to lift her foot right. Stop sign violation. Impairment clues. Beer admission. Bad tests. That led to her DUI arrest. Her friend argued with officers. Then she walked away. Officer Bailey drove Isabella to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. She took a breath test. Scores: 0.129 and 0.133. Both beat the 0.08 limit. DUI charge under 316.193(4). She bonded out.
