As lovely as the Supergirl show was. It provided an insincere characterization of Kara as just a “female Superman” which is the unfortunate conception many people have of her to this day. This movie shows that she is so much more than that, she’s her own person, she’s a different kind of hero, she’s more detached from humanity than Clark is, and has to learn to love it in a much more convoluted way than Clark ever did
