I absolutely believe this because I bought a home this year and the title company and the paperwork they gave me everything said it’s not in an HOA but it is however my HOA hasn’t been active for 20 years, but it was never fully dissolved. There’s no way to get a hold of the president or the secretaries or anything because it’s been so long and I have a pond behind me that was supposed to according to the title company and everybody belonged to the city and the trees are worrisome because they need to be trimmed and hanging over my house will come to find out the city says no you own it and I have to pay for it so this HOA garbage is just that and they should be outlawed.
