Technic series set #42224 Porsche 911 GT3 R REXY AO Racing would be released on January 1st, 2026. It consists of 1313 pieces and costs 149.99 USD / 139.99 EUR / 619.99 PLN. What I like: - Not popular color for LEGO Technic panels, so it’s pretty good parts pack. - Unusual function - lifting the vehicle on outriggers extended by a lever in the cabin. I've seen something like this before, in the 8143 Ferrari F430 Challenge kit. There were no shock absorbers there, but in this case, the suspension won't sag like in larger models like the Bugatti Chiron, which, due to its weight, ends up on the ground after a while. - New part for headlights. What I don’t like: - This set includes two decal sheets. For a 100% wrapped race car, it might seem reasonable not to have 50+ printed parts, but you need to be sure you know what you're getting into. They're easier to apply than in the Ford GT40, but it's still as much “fun” to apply as the Ferrari 42125. - The front end shape isn't quite right. The lights and wheel arches on real Porsche 911s are more convex. At this scale, a better representation could have been achieved, especially since the smaller Ford GT achieved it. #lego #rlfm #lego42224 #reviews
