you are in medicine for all the right reasons. I worked in medicine for fifteen years. emotionally speaking, it can be very challenging.. there will always be people who need your time and your love. thank God you were chosen for this role. it's clear that you are meant to be right where you are.

Please create a ritual for yourself to process what you are feeling. We need you to do this so that you can always retain your empathy and compassion. Too many good doctors burn out from carrying too much. This is a practice that you should be taught in school and the rest of us should be taught how to let go. We have much work to do as a society.
