The mental gymnastics they go through to make public schools the villain. I met a young man who attended my elementary school and asked if things had changed since he went there because he saw all these things on the news. I’m like, no it’s just like when you went there.

What do you think about teachers not letting kids sound it out when they’re learning how to read? I’m a tutor and my student is was told to memorize the word instead of using phonetics

I'm not that person but I do have a question and I'm going to caveat the question by saying I know videos can be faked but what about all the videos that have come out showing that going on and not for nothing but in the high school I went to I know that's not elementary but when it came time to learn about evolution it was substituted by doing hunters safety education so yeah it does happen that teachers don't always go with the curriculum I live in the south

Teachers would never do that because the risk of students talking about it to literally anyone outside of school would put “the secret lessons” at risk, statistically significant risk to keep something a secret while teaching it to 150+ students… of anyyy age but especially kindergarten

My problem of practice for my EdD focuses on financial literacy and economic education and I think about the huge amount of distrust towards us. It’s going to be a serious challenge. I once had someone tell me schools have two different curriculum; a secret one used to indoctrinate and the other being the public-facing one. Sigh. 😮💨

I love that pink sweater by the way. 🥰 That would be cool with a rose gold butterfly locket, but on topic, I think there is a political machine using the old divide and conquer strategy. Many people who abuse children, make up strategic lies to distract from their crimes. The strategy may need to be tracing back to the source of the lie and launching an investigation into what they seek to hide using strategic lies and stochastic terrorism. There are entire police units dedicated to child abuse. Most parents are easily distracted using strategic lies. They should ask, from what are they being distracted?

I truly do not understand how people can believe that this stuff is happening and/or is happening in a nefarious way. at most I can see there being a Trans faculty member and that conversation needing to be facilitated with the older students.
