@aliliftness: Being back at @shepherdcenter is always the best but also feels so surreal. It’s strange walking around places you had to navigate in a wheelchair before. When I was paralyzed from Guillain barre syndrome I picked out a pink wheelchair with teal on the wheels and was actually so excited to have the cutest chair ever- And I knew my toddler was going to love it too 🩷 But then I made a miraculous recovery and was able to RUN before my wheelchair was delivered so we ended up cancelling it It’s wild thinking about how things could have been… Life changes in and instant and I’m so thankful to be not only walking and running now, but truly stronger than I’ve ever been #guillainbarresyndrome #shepherdcenter #gbs #paralyzed #physicaltherapy

yes, we are so happy for her, but we also respect the fact that some people stay in wheelchairs, even if they work just as hard as her. we are so proud of her, that she's walking again, but we would be just as proud if she wasn't.
