@cometresearchgroup: Archaeologists may be overlooking structures because they're not looking for advanced astronomical knowledge in the "wrong" time periods. The Great Sphinx shows evidence of being remodeled around 2500 BCE, but the original rock-hewn sculpture appears much older, potentially dating to the Younger Dryas period. At Göbekli Tepe, the alignments are precise. Key structures track the rising of Sirius over hundreds of years, accounting for changing positions. Pillar 43 in Enclosure D appears to be an astronomical diagram depicting the dark rift in the Milky Way, Sagittarius, and Scorpius...arranged in a way that points to 12,800 years ago. The date of the proposed Younger Dryas impact. What makes this remarkable: the diagram demonstrates knowledge of precession. That phenomenon wasn't supposed to be recognized until the Greeks, around 300 BCE. Yet there it is, carved in stone 11,000 years earlier. When we assume ancient cultures lacked sophisticated knowledge, we stop looking for evidence of that knowledge. And so we miss what's right in front of us. The CRG supports research that questions assumptions. Link in bio.
