Hardy board has recommendations for expansion! Don’t mess with stuff you know nothing about

if you dont trim around your windows and one needs replaced you will have to remove the siding to get the windows out or tear up the inside

Read the installation instructions. Hardy isn’t like wood . They recommend an 1/8 gap for moisture and expansion around doors and windows. Which is supposed to be caulked before painting.

Those windows clearly have a nailing fin on them. If they are correctly taped they are self/flashing and do not require caulk or trim on the areas you pointed to.
