A little morbid, but as Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos approach, it’s definitely the appropriate time. This was such fun drink to make, and the complexity of the Taro Milk Tea and floral flavors is ethereal, just like the cocktail’s flavor. Cemetery Flowers Cocktail 4oz Taro Milk Tea* 1 tsp Lavender syrup ~3-5 drops Yuzu Juice** .75 oz Crème de Violette .75 oz Midsummer solstice gin .5 oz White chocolate liqueur 1.5 tsp Heavy whipping cream 1 egg white (can use aquafaba) 1-2 drops neon purple food coloring (opt) Use a frother to blend Taro Milk Tea, egg white, heavy whipping cream, food coloring, and lavender syrup. Then add that emulsion and all other ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 seconds. Pour into a coupe glass, and add edible flowers on top. Use a 75/25 ratio of apple wood to lavender bud to the top smoker and let smoke for 15 seconds. Serve. *I recommend purchasing a Taro Milk Tea with no boba and no ice from your favorite tea shop- I tried several of the “make at home” powders and none of them tasted like the tea house’s Taro. Maybe it’s because the powders are what Taro actually tastes like, or maybe the tea shops add other flavors in (possibly jasmine tea). If you have a powdered version you love, just make it a bit stronger than usual and use it- but I can’t guarantee the synergy of flavors. Otherwise, save yourself time and money and just buy it from the shop! **Be VERY careful when adding the yuzu juice because it is strong (I’m using pure 100% yuzu juice, no additives) and can easily take over your drink! Start with 3 drops and adjust from there, I like about 4 drops for a drink this size. #JaiCieBlaiseOriginals #HalloweenCocktail #TaroMilkTea #HendricksGinMidsummerSolstice #CemeteryFlowers @hendricksgin
