Martin County Sheriff's Office investigators say a crew of burglars cut a hole in the roof of the Treasure Coast Mall the night of October 21, 2025, and spent hours emptying the store of high-dollar shoes like Jordans. But now Sheriff John Budensiek says the thieves are trading Jordans for jail-issue slippers after investigators busted four members of an alleged multi-state sneaker bandit ring. Budensiek says the four people involved in the October heist gave themselves away when they stopped for energy drinks at a convenience store after leaving the crime scene. Police then traced their license plate and uncovered their involvement in identical burglaries stretching from Florida to Mississippi. Authorities set up a sting and caught the four suspects in the act of trying to pull off a similar sneaker burglary on November 17 outside the Volusia Mall. Keiko Davis, Christopher McCray, and Jimmel Raiford were arrested on site, while Tyrone Howard was caught days later. All four are now awaiting transfer to Martin County to face charges. #truecrime
