yeah it's best to do it once a week that way you can keep track of your body's trends. for instance when you have hormonal fluctuations etc. doing it weekly helps keep yourself accountable

Waiting till the end of the year may be just a little bit too long. I think you would set yourself up for disappointment. I would keep going once a week.
