It's not about the child, its about the parent. It's just as easy for an adult to shove a knife in a holder down a child leg or back. Everything entering the plane should be checked.

They just showed a white child getting scanned. My kids get scanned at the airport, always have. Isn't that the whole point of this since 9/11?? People need to stop paying attention to the media dog whistles about racism. Yes there are absolutely incidents of racism that are alive and well and need to be stopped, but what should really worry people is how much of a police state we live in now. They keep us focused on racism while they take more and more right away from ALL of us.

Oh my gosh! A black infant?! Everyone gets checked as they should. Yes the parents are going to sue for racial discrimination day want dat money now. Easiest way to get money and some attorney will jump on this because they now race cases win 10 to 1.

I’m white and I’ve traveled around this world with my daughter starting when she was four or five years old and she was also metal detected because some kids can’t go through the scanner. It’s common. Stop making it about Race.
