Worked in Oliver Bonas for long time in the past… in our employee handbook it literally asked us to check on customer and engage in conversation… the way I had to fight my way through managers and tell them that me approaching them like this on the entry is just straight up scary 😂

Why can’t you treat staff as human beings! Just speak to them. “Hello! I’m just looking for now, I’ll let you know if I need any help!” Is all you need to say.
