This is such a good start!!!! The hut and fabric are unsafe fabric hides can be used if your watching them but the hut is also made from sawdust and honey which they can ingest which can cause internal blockages sorry for the explanation it’s not the nicest thing to here I’d recommend looking at India’s hamster rescue for set up ideas she has some amazing set ups and I love little pumpkin🥹

Just cleaned the whole cage for the second time in 3 months because apparently mites like to visit us every few months. Idk how but this time I scrubbed everything down and let it sit in warm water for half an hour and baked the rest of her stuff🥲 now I need to completely disinfect her quarantine enclosure because now they are all chilling there. It’s crazy and I am about to loose my mind💀 I wouldn’t even wish my enemy mites because they really suck😭

Definitely needs sprays and substrates and I’d remove the colorfull toys as there artaficaly died and that fabric hide as fabric hides are really dangerous when left unsupervised and that little gnaw hit is made from sawdust and artificial dies and adatives x
