I went to Umrah Just 2 weeks ago or less And during my Umrah I saw people sitting on jt and stuff , I am Not confirmed that it was the same mountain or what , But there was a sameee place like this and people were sitting on it

Came back from umrah last week. It was open. I stood on Marwah and made dua. Issue is that people sit there and cause congestion especially when it get really really busy. So the authorities close it off to prevent that from happen

I’ve prayed 2 Rakats after performing Sa’ee in Umrah I think the authorities close it to handle capacity and open it if there is heavy congestion in between salah times

That’s marwa and I prayed on that when I went for umrah in October 2025. However safa is sealed with glass and yh they do get you moving if you stand there.

People really need to be educated about touching some objects and worshipping those stuff, it’s probably one of the reasons why Marwa is coated with that wax layer to prevent Shirk. When I was in Madinah, I literally saw people rubbing all over a random gold door of the masjid Al Nabawi as if worshipping that, same issue at Maqaam-e-ibrahim, that is considered Shirk or has no benefit, May Allah forgive and guide all wrongdoer’s and guide people to do things in the right way 🤲
