I feel so guilty relying on god, asking him for forgiveness, for things to happen, and then falling back into sin. It makes me feel so guilty. Part of me thinks that if I can't do it without the guidence of the lord I it's not authentic while the other part knows otherwise.

So, instead of the mindset of, for example: instead of saying I am strong because I go to the gym and train, and God supports this. It’s more like, the reason I am strong physically is because I set my sight on the goal, and the reason I have strength and the discipline to go into the gym every week, is because those virtues are granted by God? Or the reason I am a composed person isn’t simply because I’ve trained this, instead that God gave me experiences to place this attribute in my life? And that’s why I don’t and shouldn’t believe in myself when accomplishing goals, but instead believe in God and his power to make me complete my task. Do I have this right?
