Retired after 30 years in 2020. Reading the chapter in Proj. 2025 about dismantling the NEA, I literally had a panic attack. The HF has been chipping away at education since 1973. Reaction to the Civil Rights Act of 1965, securing Brown v Board of Educ from 1954. Their dream of rewinding to 1950 is at hand. 🥺🤬 Now privatization $$ is added to the fire of racism and classcism.

This has been apparent in the Bible Belt ever since segregation. Areas where the public schools ALWAYS struggle, but the private schools reign. Of course those private schools are absolutely segregated.
