i dont think people understand how indestructible knights were. a heavy blunt weapon didnt do as much as people think it would. its the reacon halfswording and daggers were popular because they could get into the joints

Хотелось бы увидеть достоверную историческую битву. Противостояние при разных и равных уровнях развития технологий и боя. Ведь наверняка такие ребята играюче не только мечами махали, но и умели правильно передвигаться и принимать удары минимизируя повреждения.

Arrows and daggers were your biggest fear other than blunt weapons, so having actual armor is widely preferable in a real combat scenario. Just watch those historically accurate duels, and see how visibility was not an issue at close ranges.

For people saying fashion over stats, most knight fights ended on the ground with daggers grappling trying to find openings, the sports masks gives big openings that your opponent will take
