As a past Navy Corpsman with to combat tours I deployed as the only medical personnel for an Iraqi Btn. I didn’t have the luxury or time for needle decompression, I just slapped on 3 way seals and maintained airways but the old way is what we’re taught. It’s amazing the new techniques. I’m planning on getting into nursing or EMS but only if I can get back into a trauma setting or stay in my surgical tech background.
