used to be a LOT of female trees when we were kids. That's why we, GenX, could be outside for hours....people laugh about the hose water but we also lived off the fruit from neighbors trees

This 💯 true. I didn’t believe it until I gave a ride to a student majoring in Horticulture broke this down for me and I was shocked but at the same time not surprised. The system is designed for us to depend on it than being self sufficient

I remember when I was young, people had apple trees etc just growing. We use to pick and eat while walking to school. I saw a brush with red berries on it and nearly lost my mind.
