oh my god this is such a good idea really n I hope somehow we could make it happen ❤❤ but here in Malaysia, rather than adopt children n fulfilling their wishes like how you said, we did something different. before we celebrate our Aidilfitri Eid, the Muslims r required to pay "zakat". we have plenty types of zakat, but this zakat I was talking about was called "zakat fitrah". we will pay amount of money according to the required amount that were different for each region in Malaysia. some place only need to pay under RM10, n some place need to pay more than RM10. n each of the family members have their own responsibilities to pay it up, but usually it's the fathers who paid the zakat for his family members as in Islam, the men is the head of the family n stuff like that was on their responsibility. the money of the "zakat" then will be hand out to those orphanage, poor people, n some other more (we basically have list on who deserved to have the "zakat" money). so yups...we have it too, but in completely different way. but the idea was superb tho love it 💐♥

Well.. most shops will have sort of boxes be it food or other stuffs to be given to charities like orphanage and old folks home. Also we have individuals or corporate will give them gift in forms of money/angpow during every big festival. During Ramadhan, basically mosques will have daily iftar and sahoor which is free

Most churches give care packages to the less privileged before Christmas and a lot do this all year round too. You can reach out to them to contribute, either cash or kind. Most care packages are the basic foodstuff-rice and noodles, biscuits, Milo, cooking oil, sugar, cream crackers, canned foods, but you can also ask about giving toys, sweets, books, games, shoes and clothes.

Jaya Grocer in 1 Utama allows you to buy things to give to the less fortunate, all year round. You buy the stuff like normal then put it in their big cabinet outside the checkout counters.
